Size approx. 3" x 44"
Gauge 1 row = 3"

Materials
1/2 spool each yellow, green, and purple 560/4 SolarActive® serger thread 90 yds
12 yellow SolarActive® pony beads
12 purple SolarActive® pony beads
F crochet hook or size needed to match gauge
1 stitch holder such as a safety pin
#18 tapestry needle
clear fingernail polish or hypo cement

Foundation row: With yellow leave a 3 yard beginning tail, make slip knot and chain 14.
Row 1: Chain 3 more (turning chain), single crochet in 5th chain from hook, (chain 2, skip 1 chain of foundation row, single crochet in next chain) 6 times, turn.
Row 2: chain 3 (turning chain), (single crochet over chain 2, chain 2) 6 times, single crochet over turning chain, turn.
Rows 3 - 12: Repeat row 2. End yellow after row 12.
Rows 13 - 24: With green, repeat row 2. End green after row 24.
Rows 25 - 36: With purple, repeat row 2. End purple after row 36.
Rows 37 - 180: Repeat row 2 changing color every 12 rows. At end of row 180 place stitch holder in last loop and leave a 3 yard tail.

Thread 12 purple beads onto ending tail. Pick up last stitch with hook, single crochet over chain 2, (chain 10, move bead next to hook, chain around bead, chain 2, move bead next to hook, chain around bead, chain 8, single crochet over next chain 2) 6 times, end.

Thread 12 yellow beads onto beginning tail. Working with tail, form a loop by inserting hook under chain 2 nearest tail, yarn over with tail and pull a loop to front through the chain 2 loop, (chain 10, move bead next to hook, chain around bead, chain 2, move bead next to hook, chain around bead, chain 8, single crochet over next chain 2) 6 times, end.

At each color change, tie the two ends together with a double knot. Seal each knot and each ending knot with a tiny drop of fingernail polish or hypo cement to keep the knot from working loose. If using fingernail polish, the tip of a toothpick makes a good applicator. Using a tapestry needle, weave each end into its same color.
